DEMOKRASI ALA KHAIRY DIPERKENALKAN...

MalaysiaKini telah memberikan ulasan yang berlaku di Rembau, baru-baru ini;

  • 'NO LAWAN' and 'SETIA KAT WANG' - Modal bertaburan, dulu tidak, kini semestinya dan selama-lamanya. Itulah yang dapat rakyat sinonimkan dengan UMNO.
  • Hidup KJ! Hidup KJ! Hidup KJ! KALAU SAYANGKAN UMNO... PASTIKAN KJ MENANG!
  • Persoalannya... APAKAH KHAIRY CALON YANG LEMAH?

Salam Mantra,

Setahu saya bapa mentua dia telahpun di gelar bapa demokrasi, as the opposition generally agreed that Dollah has brought back the true meaning of democracy to this country.

Dengan versi terbaru demokrasi ala khairy, it seems that KJ has opened up the old wounds that nearly crippled UMNO. The problem is once KJ opened up the multiple wounds, UMNO is more susceptible to infection. While UMNO is getting older and its immune system is becoming weaker, even harmless germs will be deadly and able to kill, thanks to Khairy.

Another explanation, demokrasi ala Khairy has given UMNO the virulent HIV and setiakawans were the mean of transmission. Gradually, UMNO will lose its defense mechanism, and there will be a day UMNO is left defenseless.

Wassalam.

Salam Piggy,
Bapa demokrasi who will halalise his SIL's samseng and rempits approach..

Even the makciks and pakciks in the village starts to stamp KJ as 'kaki samseng'... and what is left for UMNO then?

As long as UMNO still fails to concede that Khairy is already a liabitlity to them, the rakyat has no choice but to deny UMNO.

Too bad, UMNO is really out of touch by now!

Oh yes, I read your posting about Kuala Kangsar... similar strategy isn't it?

Even the barbarians at times would consider others.

Mukhriz Lantang Biadap, Bodoh Macam George W Bush
Masya Allah, kamu ingat bodoh sangatkah kita ni Mukhriz?
Jadi, apa maksud kau Mukhriz?
Mukhriz perlu banyak belajar lagi.
Kah kah kah.

Dear Mantra,
Love your blog, and a quickshout out to my peeps in Jasin!
I am quite thankful to UMNO as they have enabled me to get an excellent education, and set me on the path out of poverty.
I have had the good fortune of living comfortably and now I feel, as a responsible citizen, I have to give back a little bit to the country and party I so love, and that is

'VOTE KHAIRY JAMALUDDIN!'

I disagree with Botak's line of reasoning, Khairy invokes strong support amongst the more aggressive youth as well as the elder latte sipping professionals like myself. I believe a certain senator from Illinois had the same distinction.

Whilst I do appreciate Botak's enthusiasm, I feel that Khairy strength is not shown by underlying Mukrhiz weakness, instead, is by recognizing that this man has a 21st century outlook that we in Malaysia must begin to adopt if we are to continue to prosper. He certainly has the intellect and the depth of understanding which is a pre-requisite to comprehend the many complex problems. For example, look at the Mat Cermelang episode - Khairy was spot on in identifying this group as a group at risk, and I do belive he had Dato Abdol Azeez, a well and capable deputy, to engage them. Yes - results were not outstanding, but thats because the media continues to focus on the 'outliers' of this group. Having had a chance to talk with some Mat Cermelangs, they have begin to demonstrate a greater understanding of the world around them, a necessary precondition for their eventual rehabilitation.

A second strong point is Khairy's ability to build bridges amongst the different groups. He has certainly demonstrated his Malay credentials, this cannot be questioned. But unlike other UMNO leaders, he did not merely rest on having a far right support base, he has bravely went and engaged with enemies both within and outside of BN. His capability to stay calm, even when members of his own coalition, called for the ISA, speaks volume of his tact, restraint and responsibility.

I do appreciate your dissenting point of view. However, I do encourage you to put aside any negative prejudices, and think whats best for the party and the country, and I hope you may begin to see more similarities than differences.

Mr Padedoh

Thanks, dropping by my blog...

As much as you are concerned and thankful to UMNO, most malay upbringings share the same thoughts.

These are some of my personal reasons why KJ are not accepted well for now but maybe later;

1. KJ came into the limelight as soon as PakLah is the UMNO President... thus this is not acceptable in good faith by most. No track records.. I would consider him as a seasonal politician.. To my personal opinion, KJ tracked in to the wrong timing but with great strategy which to him
is smart but nevertheless being questioned.

2. Intelligence in UMNO - many more are far better than him but it is being under utilised and being denied by UMNO once again. Many more have much better credentials than KJ... proof that I'm wrong!

3. The winning team - you and me plus all, must take this coming UMNO election in the biggest
and reality scope ie. THE RAKYAT IS WATCHING UMNO CLOSELY! Will KJ fit into the winning team for the rakyat? Put aside UMNO for Malays and Malays for UMNO, it doesnt work anymore.
Still in denial?

4. KJ's blundders - the biggest blow is Kelantan. Kelantan lost most of her seats to PAS in the latest GE. His over board ultra strategy didnt work at all.. Who lead the strategy?

KJ must mull over this - NO FIGHT NO GAIN, EASY COME EASY GO. We (the rakyat) don't need a fighter or a politician but we need a leader. Can he lead? Does he fit in these criteria - SIDDIQ, AMANAH, TABLIGH and FATANAH? Even the Chinese and Indians know these!

Hi Mantra,
Lets have a debate.
#1 - KJ parachuted into the limelight as soon as Pak Lah was PM.
I will go one step further. He married into the family to cement his position of influence.
I will first argue this point. There is a latin saying 'Carpe Diem' which means seize the moment.
Since it was cast in Latin, its probably about 1000 years old, what it says is that when opportunity arises, take it. Truth is, since the world began, there are perhaps 20 billion who have walked on its face, yet we remember maybe 1000 - 2000 of them. These people did not get there by accident, they seized the moment however the opportunity presented. This flies in the face of our cultural thinking of accepting things as fate. Now, think of where Malaysia is heading, if we accept fate, our outlook is very very dim. I would rather have a leader, who seizes the moment, e.g. Tun and KJ, than one who plays the waiting game.

#2 Intelligence in UMNO
Leaders are not scholars. Thats Singapore. Leaders are leaders, they take risk, they push their way and get what they want. The alternative is to be 'lembik' , play the Government game and get promoted by virtue of age/experience argument. Of course there are stronger thinkers out there, but they could not execute as successfully as KJ, we do not know their names. UMNO practises Darwinism - and KJ was the fittest, and there is nothing wrong in that.

#2 Blunders.
On Padedoh - btw, thats the name of my blog. Consider this:
Every single prominent member of our cabinet from the last 22 years have made mistakes that makes a defeat in Kelantan look insignificant. Everyone of them. But put this defeat in context. BN lost in 4 other states - UMNO had a choice. Not field a candidate and lose to Pas, or field a candidate and still lose to Pas. Could we say DS Najib could have led BN to victory in Kelantan, if he could, how come he failed to win Permatang Pauh. Both were opposition strongholds, and BN would have lost no matter who was in charge.

#3 The Rakyat
Your context is perhaps the Rakyat as of Nov 2008. The situation in 2009 is going to be very very different, the rakyat will be looking for a leader with ideas to help us escape the recession. Palm Oil and Crude Oil, both major income earners for our country have collapsed. Manufacturing is down. Services down. Country credit risk downgraded by Fitch. We will need very creative leaders to solve these problems, and I see that KJ fits the bill.

He is not running to win Mr. Popularity, he is running to be our future leader, and amongst the lot, if you honestly think about it - he has the necessary risk, fight and brain attitude for the job.

mantra-indeeptots said...

1.Why should we call this a debate? Only yuppies would do that. Mature would discuss.

2. Pls get your focus right, Im not representing any political parties but I am the rakyat who wish to share my crtical view who is only interested in ISLAM AS A WAY OF LIFE.. no compromise. For that, I will speak based
on Ammar Maaruf Nahi Munkar.

3. Its true.. opportunity strike once, but can Malaysian compromise with the word 'nepotism'?

4. Intelligent = smart + articulate + prudent (name it), but is he wise enough to be called a leader?

5. Kelantan great lost would have swayed gracefully just like that if it wasn't being overdone by KJ.
In the last GE, Kelantan was highlighted the prime target... and over the previous GEs, the last GE PAS took away most seats. My point here is, when KJ was too vocal, too outburst.. namely too arrogant, the opposition tracked his weakness too well.. finally what happened?

6. Lets run a poll on the net.. lets find out. We will be very scared to discover the digital truth that todate, more and more youngsters dont even wish to be associated to UMNO or any BN affiliates. This runs in
my own family whereby out of 12 adults only my mother will vote for BN, even so with all the discussions going on at home, it might be 50-50 for her. Yes Permatang Pauh is the opposition stronghold, but the rakyat
did not expect an increase to their victory. Why do you think actually Bandar Kulim was given back to PKR? Technical? Be my guest. Is BN ready for any bi-election anymore?

7. If Khairy would be in Dr Khir's shoe, who did not belong to any clans.. probably he would stand better chances. But, would anyone recognise him as he is now? Its nepotism again. You may relate this to Mukhriz, and again do not forget.. Tun M disengaged himself with UMNO by now.. eventhough literally he doesn't.

8. You wish to know what is the worst blow to KJ. His own Father in law with his Islam Hadhari. Furthermore, KJ is not a likeable figure due to his audacious approach. He may be intelligent.. (but yet to proof any) .. again, does he fit in SIDDIQ, AMANAH, TABLIGH and FATANAH criteria? Popularity will work but it won't last.

9. What is the worst blow to the rakyat? We felt being cheated delibrately by the Hadhari imam's image. Too bad.. KJ has to carry with that all along.
